Movie: Cinderella Man

Yesterday I saw the movie Cinderella Man with Russell Crowe, Renee Zellweger, Paul Giamatti and directed by Ron Howard.

This movie is about James J. Braddock, who is a depression era boxer. He is a man who was a great boxer but ran out of steam and lost all of his credibility. But during the depression, when everyone thought that all hope was lost, James Braddock was able to make a comeback into the boxing mainstream and give hope to the masses.

This is really a fantastic movie. Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger have really great chemistry together on screen. Paul Giamatti plays the Russell Crowe's manager. Paul also does a really fantastic job in the movie. By the end of the movie you feel like you have been taken back to the 1930s and your sitting in Madison Square Garden rooting for James Braddock to win the boxing match.

I think once Academy Award time comes around next year, I wouldn't be surprised if you saw this movie being mentioned a few times. Paul Giamatti got snubbed for an Oscar last time around in the movie Sideways. I predict he will get the nod this year.

I think this movies is a MUST SEE. If you only go see 2 or 3 movies a year, I would make this one of them.
